It's M. It's about 3:30 here. They took B back at about 2:45 and I was able to stay with him until the anesthesia started to kick in. He was in good spirits and feeling confident. Said he was going to have sweet dreams of sailing around the Carribean, heading to Hawaii, and then over to the South Pacific. Of course all with our babies soon to come...
No doubt he was doing much better than me although I hid it well. I'm now in the surgery waiting room on the 3rd floor with mom and Grandma. It's going to be a long time until an update, but I'm continuing to pray, pray, pray as I wait to hear any sort of update. Dad, mom and I just got back from praying in the chapel, and inside my brain is one constant streaming prayer.
For those that want to join me, my prayer sounds something like this, "Dear Lord, please take good care of my amazing husband. Hold him in your arms as you guide the doctors operating on him. Please hold and comfort the donor family and let them know what a gift they have given. Please take care of and hold Brian until I can join you again in holding him".
PRAYERS, PRAYERS, PRAYERS....that's all we need at this point. If you're so inclined to join us, we're at TGH 3rd floor surgery waiting room. Surgery could take 10 hours. Really no idea how long, but we'll be here.
Love to you all. Thank you for everything.
