Things are progressing...

Hi All,

Just got an updated phone call from Joyce (the wonderful OR nurse who has been keeping me updated and thus sane).  Things are progressing well.  The new liver is in, and is partially connected.  Blood is flowing through which is a good sign.

Joyce asked if I have taken a break (which of course I haven't).  She suggested I do so, and took my cell phone number so I can be comfortable leaving the waiting room.  In my mind, that is a good sign as she must think things are in a stable place as we speak.

Of course the first thing I did when I heard was to pray.  Mom, grandma and I held hands and prayed aloud after we got the update, as we've done for every update thus far.

We so appreciate all of your love, support, concern, and prayers!  Please continue to pray as we are about halfway through the procedure.  Please pray for Brian, the doctors, and the donor family.  Thank God.  Yeah God!

Love M

I too wish peace for the donor family. What a gift they have given but I cannot think of a more deserving host than your wonderful husband. In doing this, they have given him a new life and you too. You both deserve this. I cannot wait for the celebration. What do you think B will want to do first? I know thank God, but after that? Will it be climbing those rocks, cruising, or a vacation with his lovely wife before the arrival of babies? I wish it all for you and cannot wait to see where life takes you guys. I pray for you and I love you both. Irene

Melissa Jess and I have both been praying for the both of you. I'm glad to hear everything is going good. Dodie is keeping me updated everytime she hears news. If you get a chance I would love to talk to you. I'll send you my cell phone number on myspace and you can call whenever you're able to. Keep your head up I'm sure it'll all be ok. I will keep praying hard.
