Today makes one week that I have been out of the hospital. I am feeling a little better each day, but still have a long way to go. I did speak with Lifelink today and all my numbers have continued to drop.
Being out for one week means that today was also the first time that I had to refill my medication case. They gave me an organizer that holds one weeks worth of meds when I was discharged. These pictures show how many different meds I am currently on. There are 15 medications all together. Within the next 6-12 months that number should drop to around four, which I will then be on for the rest of my life. Until then, this is what I will be dealing with.

Third Chance - Congratulations on your 2nd transplant.
I'm still happily and healthly working with my 1st. I ran across your blog via a Google alert.
I have enjoyed your reflections on your transplantation experiences. I can definitely relate to all of them! Your account of the "Call" was right on!
I had my liver transplant 10/09/07 and have thoroughly been making the most of every moment since.
The picture of your meds brought back vivid memories. I remember taking all of those meds! Today I'm down to taking only 2 - 1mg Prograf, 2 - 500mg Urosodial and the remainder vitamins! In the pic of your assortment I saw a lot of old familiar freinds; Prednisone, Cellcept (I think), Bactrim, Protonix, etc.
Please continue with your postings. I counsel people who are pre and post transplant At St. Luke's and Methodist Hospitals in Houston, and your postings explore the ups and downs everyone waiting for or getting a transplant experiences!
Blessings to you!
