Went for more blood work and another follow up at Lifelink today. We spoke with a coordinator and everything seems to be going well. I have had an upset stomach the last couple of days, but beyond that I have very little to complain about. They did not have the results from the blood work while we were there and they did not call us to give us the results, so we are going with no news in good news.
While we were there we also had to pick up a bunch of paperwork for insurance stuff. Among the papers we picked up was a detailed narrative report from the surgeon that did my surgery. It was about 2 and a half pages long, single spaced. It recounted every tiny detail of the surgery from the anesthesia at the beginning to the staples at the end. It was very interesting to read a step by step account of what they did during the surgery. (At least from what I could actually understand. Most of it was in very technical medical language in which I could only understand every other word or so.)
From what I read, the surgery went remarkably well aside from a moment that my blood pressure began to drop too low, for which they adjusted some of the IV drugs to fix. It is hard to imagine that they actually did all those things to me. It seems so complicated and intense, I have a hard time picturing me being the one that they were doing that to. But here I am, so whatever they did, it worked.

I love those detailed report especially because it tells you all the stuff the doctor doesn't share with you!! So happy to hear all is good. You must be having sympathy pains because Geoff has had an upset stomach that last couple of days too.
