I suppose the constant sense of nausea over the last two days should have been a sign.
Regardless, we will be waking up tomorrow morning and heading over to the hospital. Surgery is scheduled for 2:00 PM "hospital time" (It was originally scheduled for 11:00 AM, then changed to 7:00 AM and finally to 2:00 PM. Actually, we would both prefer the 7:00 AM time. Less time to think about it. Now we have the whole morning we have to wait through). For those of you not familiar with "hospital time", it is a lot like cable service time. You know how the cable company tells you that they will be there sometime between 12 and 8? It is similar to that at the hospital. I once arrived a the hospital at 6:00 AM for a 9:00 AM procedure and was finally brought back at 4:00 PM.
I know on our end, many payers will be said tonight. Prayers for a safe and successful surgery. We will be praying that the doctors will be able to do the surgery laparoscopically. We will be praying that the recovery will be quick and we will be able to get on with our lives.
If you have a minute, would you mind doing the same?
