I packed a bag with enough clothes for five days. As much as we hoped and prayed, and as optimistic as I am, I still didn't think there was much of chance for the surgery to be done laperascopicly. But here I am, laying in our own bed next to my sleeping wife.
She is still pretty groggy from the medication, and is in a significant amount of pain. Four incisions where made in her stomach, each about an inch in length. So although there is not one big area causing pain, there are four small areas causing pain. She will still have a tough recovery ahead, although not nearly as bad as it could have been. For that, we are thankful.
Thank you also to the dozens of emails, texts, blog comments and phone calls throughout the day. Thank you to every one who made it out to the hospital today. I surely would have gone mad if I was alone. Most importantly, thank you for all the prayers. I have no doubt that they played a key role in today's events.

I am so happy that everything went so well yesterday.
You and Melissa were on my mind all day.
I didn't want to call as I figured everyone would be doing that.
Love you both
