Bahamas or Bust

I think I may have mentioned once or twice in the last week that my wife and I are heading to the Bahamas for a week on Saturday.  Needless to say, we are REALLY looking forward to it.  We will be staying at our timeshare that we own at the Harborside Resort at Atlantis.  This will be our fourth straight summer staying there, and according to our best estimate, our 12th overall trip the the Bahamas.

If Puerto Rico was my dream vacation, this is my wife's dream vacation.  Aside from the climate and the beaches, these two trips have very little in common.  Puerto Rico was a fast paced, adventurous trip in which we were constantly on the go.  The only places we will be going in the Bahamas is from one of the 20 pools they have, to another.  Furthermore, we will be in no hurry what so ever to get there.  The most difficult decisions we will have to make will be on what to eat at our favorite restaurants on the property.  And that is the way my wife likes it.  She deserves this vacation.

She is very much looking forward to a week of relaxing by the pool, only to be interrupted by the occasional lap or two in the lazy river.  For the week that we are there she can focus on, well, nothing.  She can clear her mind and rest her body.

I too am looking forward to some rest and relaxation.  That, plus they do have a huge rock climbing wall that I will spend quite a bit of time at.  The nice thing about it is that it is located right next to the lazy river.  So while I am heading up and down the wall, my wife can float by in her inner tube.  It is the best of both words.
