Day one is in the books, or at least the eating part of the day.  All-in-all, I feel good.  A little tired, but no more then usual.  The hardest part of the day came during an unplanned trip to the grocery store.

My wife is hosting an event this week, and needs to have chocolate to give out to the guests.  She is doing the Solidarity Challenge as well, so she will not actually be eating the chocolate.  She asked me to stop by the store on my way home to pick it up.  She was very specific that she wanted a large bag of Chocolate Hershey Kisses.  Of course, the store did not have a large bag of Chocolate Hershey Kisses.  They had Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate, and even Mint, but no plain chocolate.  So I had to walk up and down the aisle trying to find the right bag.  I walked up and down starring at bags on top of bags of mouth watering chocolate.
I was however, able to walk away with a grumble in my stomach, my mouth watering, but empty handed.

This has already been a good experience.  I now realize that I take the fact that I can eat just about whatever I want, whenever I want for granted.  I will think twice next time before ordering soup, salad, an appetizer, plus a full meal, and then complaining about how I feel  sick because I ate too much.  How many millions of people will never have the opportunity to have that feeling?
