Back On Top

Sunday morning, I took another step forward in my recovery.

For the past three years, I have worked part time at the local YMCA.  I don't do it for the money, I do it for the fun.  I know it sounds crazy, but listen to what I do and you'll understand.

This particular YMCA has a 40 foot rock climbing wall, cargo net, and a 9 element high ropes course, including a 200 foot zip line.  For the last three years, I have been one of the lead facilitators on the course, running groups through the course.  I have led birthday parties, elementary schools, doctors offices, baseball teams, boy scouts, girl scouts, the Coast Guard, and dozens of others.

This is one of those jobs that I really look forward to going to.  I get to spend hours at a time suspended from a platform 30 feet off the ground.  Climbing up the wall and rappelling down never get old.

Anyway, I haven't been able to work out on the course since June, so getting back out there on Sunday felt great.  I feel like I have gained another part of me back.  Here are some pictures from some past groups on the course.
