I just got back from my six month check up from the transplant center. (It hasn't been quite six months yet, but close enough). One observation I can make from the appointment is that having people tell me how good I look never gets old. Several nurses and coordinators seemed almost shocked at how different and how much better I look.
Needless to say, they gave me a gleaming bill of health and even dropped many of my medications. I am down to only three now, which is a big difference from
this.
Overall, I knew that my numbers were good (bilirubin 0.6) and I feel great, but it was nice to hear a medical professional tell me how well I was doing also.
