We have had a few days to let this whole "You are having a boy and not a girl" thing set in. We are still processing some of the idiosyncrasies about raising a boy versus raising a girl. Many people have asked me if I am excited about having a boy to go camping with and to play catch with. Honestly, I hadn't thought about it until they brought it up.
A little girl had already become part of our family. In our minds, we already had a daughter. You can't just flip a switch and erase all of that.
The bottom line is that we are still having a baby or our own. Boy, girl, it doesn't matter, just as long as he is healthy.
