Distraction

I was supposed to be at a Jimmy Buffett concert right now.  The trip had been planned for months.  M and I would fly up to Chicago, spend a long weekend with friends and family and tonight go to the Buffett concert.  With a baby due any day now, flying 1100 miles away was not really an option.

Since I was looking forward to this weekend for so long, I really did not want to think about what I was missing out on, so I wanted to do something today to keep my mind off of it.

We took the boat out onto the lake for most of the day.  It was a hot day and we spent a lot of time in the water just floating around trying to stay cool.  We were out there almost seven hours, which made for a short night when we got home.  After cleaning up the boat and putting everything away I was so exhausted, I hardly even had time to think about the concert.
