Now who's going to clean my house?

I closed the front door to my house this afternoon around 5:00 and just stood still for a minute.  I listened very hard.  I couldn't hear anything.  It was silent.  This was the first time in almost two months that I have heard nothing in my house.  Since the beginning of January, until today, there have only been three nights that we have not had guests staying at our house with us. 

Before I go any further, let me make one thing very, very clear;  we LOVED having each and every one of our guests.  From my wife's Grandmother to our friend's nine month old baby and everyone in between, we loved having all of them stay with us.  They were all so helpful and offered endless support in so many ways.  From working hard to fatten me up with all kinds of cooking, to helping us keep the house in order to make our chaotic journey a bit more bearable,  to providing endless laughter and entertainment in too may ways to list here; they've all been a part of making our lives better over the last two months.  My wife and I are both extremely thankful that we have such an amazing group of friends and family that support us.  The fact that they would choose to spend their time with us means so much, and we feel so loved (yet we also know escaping the cold weather of Cleveland and Chicago to enjoy a hot tub in Florida might of had something to do with it as well).  Regardless, they have each had a great impact on the joy in our lives the last couple of months.  So Thank You Grandma Pat, Doddy, Vanessa, Mom, Matt, Michelle, Madeleine, Jeremiah and Michele.  We are so glad you all made the trip down, and hope to see you again soon.

All that being said, it is nice to have the house to ourselves again.  So now I am going to sit down on the couch and relax with my wife in silence.

PS.  We're now taking reservations for the rest of the year.  Free board in exchange for household chores.  We'll keep the hot tub warm...
