Among many of the normal July events that typically happen every year, in our family it brings more than fireworks and barbecues. July is Birthday Month.
Both Melissa and I have our birthdays in July, which usually means that we don't get two celebrations. This year was the exception. Although the celebrations were low key, especially when compared to Melissa's Birthday Party last year, they were memorable none the less.
For my birthday, we went out to a nice dinner with friends at a place with great food, BYOB and VIP service. That alone would have been great, but being able to eat a dinner with out having to pick up Cheerios off the floor when it was over was a nice bonus as well.

Don't ask me why I am wearing the sombrero and poncho, it wasn't even a Mexican restaurant. I can say that everybody had a good laugh and I have a feeling next time we go back to the restaurant, one of the pictures from the night will have a permanent place on display.
About a week later, we decided at the last minute to head to Orlando for the weekend for Melissa's birthday. Through a series of circumstances, we end up at the Gaylord Palms Resort and had a great time poolside. Here is proof...
