This blog started as a way to share my experience of waiting for a liver transplant. It then evolved into getting a transplant and recovering from it. Since then the blog has covered my wife's close calls with cancer and the adoption of our baby. There were many stops in between that were off topic, and others way off topic.
Most of all, the purpose of this blog has been just what the title says. A first hand account about what I am doing with my Third Chance at Life. Hopefully I am doing it right.
In an interview once, a reporter asked Jimmy Buffett what he wanted to do with his life. I have always found his simple answer very powerful.
"To live an interesting one."
Looking back at the 286ish entries, I would like to think that I have accomplished that in the last year. Especially considering the fact that there are many other entries that never got published because they would either embarrass, upset, or otherwise implicate myself or others. Not to name any names, but...
Just Kidding.
