I realize that Vegas may be a odd choice for our first family vacation, but we were some what limited in where we could go. Little B is too young for a cruise and he does not have a passport yet, so that eliminate choices 1 through 15. It then came down to places that we could get a free room at, and Vegas was the winner.
Truthfully, we are not really even staying in Vegas. We are staying away from The Strip and much closer to Red Rocks Canyon, which is my real motivation for going. I have several hikes already picked out that I am really looking forward to. I am sure we will venture to The Strip at some point, but I would be fine without it.
Regardless of where we are going, I am just looking forward to getting away from here, and getting into the mountains.
