Almost Official

There are four parts to the adoption post placement process. We had to have three "home studies" with the adoption agency, and then we actually have a court appearance before a judge in which he or she officially signs off on the adoption. As of today, we are 3/4 of the way through the process.

Today we completed our third and final post placement home study. Actually, we went to the adoption agency and they asked us some pretty basic questions.

Our final hearing will be on December 14th at the court house. Although there is no reason that would hold up the adoption at this point, and we have no doubts it will go through, it will still be nice for it to be "official".

As much as anything, today brought our work with the adoption agency full circle. We started the whole process less than a week after our last failed attempt at IVF. That was almost two years ago. To say that our world has changed in that time is a huge understatement. More like our universe. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
