Real Men Wear Pink

NFL players have worn some awful jerseys over the years.

This weekend many NFL players will again depart from their usual jerseys, and wear pink.

Yes. Many of these 250 pound, muscle bound, men among men, will be wearing pink.

The NFL is launching a campaign against breast cancer this month call The Crucial Catch. As part of the campaign, players will be allowed to wear pink accessories, such as gloves, cleats and towels. At the end of the month (October is breast Cancer Awareness month) all the game worn pink items will be auctioned off, with all the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Just as important is the awareness that they will be bringing to the cause. Nothing like a 220 pound strong safety coming on a weak side blitz to sack the quarterback, wearing pink shoes.

So now you know why they will be wearing pink. Spread the word.
