Jimmy Buffett with a Twist

I have lost count on the number of Jimmy Buffett Concerts I have been to over the years, but I do know that it is over 20. Over that span, I have run the gament on how to go to the concerts. I have arrived upwards of 7 hours before the concert for tailgating, I have showed up 2 songs late. I have taken a limo and an SUV several people over capacity. But even for me this weekends concert was a first. Mainly because I didn't actually go to the concert.

A series of events that began with us being out of the country when tickets went on sale left us with not having any tickets at all. I must admit, I was very disappointed that I did not have tickets, even up until that day of the show. I know that might sound silly given the fact that I have seen him over 20 times, but what can I say. I love it.

No tickets could not stop the tailgate however. We arrived around 3:00 which was a little late, but also allowed for a great tailgating spot. Beginning around 6, a slow trickle of people began walking into the concert. By 8:30, we were just about the only ones left in the parking lot. And our party was just getting started.

We still had to breakout the second jug of Parrot Punch, tiki torches, pit fire, and my little surprise for everyone, S'mores.

Right around the time Jimmy was finishing up his second set, I toasted our group that although I was disappointed that I did not have tickets, I was sure that the parking lot party we were having was more fun than what was going on inside.
