Apparently, We are Going Back to Vegas

Last night, Melissa and I attended the American Cancer Society's Cattle Barons Ball. This is their premier fundraising event with over $650 people paying $500 a head for dinner, plus a massive silent and live auction. Melissa used to work with the ACS and run this event, and has maintained contacts and relationships with the organization since leaving. So every year we are invited back to volunteer for the event.

Once of the "Super Silent Auction" items was a week long stay in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Vegas. Long story short, we were some how able to win the item for $500. Since the condo is a two-bedroom, we split the cost with friends of our that were at the event with us. Bottom line is we paid $250 for a week long stay in a really nice Vegas resort.

It was a late night ad we did not get home until after 1:00 AM, but it didn't stop us from starting to plan the trip. Within five minutes of being home, we were both on our computers researching the trip. In our true vacationing fashion, Melissa was checking out the resort, how many pools they had and dining options. I was scouting out Zion National Park and trying to figure out how many hikes I could get in while we are there.

Let the planning begin.
