Yes, our lives have changed dramatically over the past six months. Sitting at home on a Saturday afternoon, which is something I used to hate, isn't that bad. Braydon supplies plenty of entertainment to keep it interesting.
I am happy to say that we have not missed out on anything in the last six months just because we have a baby. The one exception was a birthday party when Braydon was sick.
Braydon is sleeping through the night most of the time, so those days walking around like a zombie after getting two hours of sleep are behind us.
In six months, we have only had to buy one pack of diapers, and that was when we went to Vegas. When Melissa said she wanted to do cloth diapers, I thought she was crazy. Now I think she is a genius.
I have been lucky not to get the sprinkler while changing his diaper. Melissa, not so much.
Braydon is trying to crawl. Once he learns how, we are in trouble.
One of my favorite memories was the first day I came home from work and Braydon smiled at me when he saw my face.
M favorite part of the day is in the morning when he wakes up with a huge smile, and at night when I read to him before he goes to bed.
I am amazed at how much less time I have to get things done.
I amazed at how well the human body adjusts to a lack of sleep.
I am amazed at how cute everything he does is (Did you see him hiccup? Do it again!)
I am amazed at how easily I get amazed (Did you see that? He took his block and moved it from one had to the other! Do it again!)
Overall, being parents is everything we had hoped and dreamed about for five years, and then some. These past six months have truly been amazing (Damn. I did it again), and we cannot wait for the lifetime we have laying ahead of us.
